Reynolda Village Retaining Wall Replacement

The In-House Construction team replaced the retaining wall at the lower parking lot in Reynolda Village after more than 30 years of service. Using the department’s recently acquired mini excavator, the team demolished the existing wall and rebuilt it with 6×6 treated timbers. A French drain was installed behind the new wall to improve drainage and support long-term stability of the area.

Reynolda Hall Second Floor Wall Panel Replacement

Wall panels along the President’s Wing hallway on the second floor of Reynolda Hall were replaced after water damage affected the existing veneer. To minimize disruption to building operations, the work was completed during evening hours over several Fridays. The Construction Team refreshed the corridor while addressing the damaged materials.
Campus Hardscape Repairs and Improvements

The In-House Construction team completed several hardscape repair projects across campus to maintain both safety and appearance. Work included replacing wall caps, repairing and replacing brick pavers, and rebuilding the base of a column at Hearn Plaza. These efforts help preserve the durability and visual character of campus walkways and gathering spaces.

Reynolda Gardens Snail Shell Installation

Reynolda Gardens partnered with the Construction Team to create a decorative snail shell feature within the garden. Using a concept image as a starting point, the team fabricated and installed the structure to complement the surrounding landscape. The project reflects the collaborative approach used to bring unique garden features to life.
