The Central Campus Near-Term Space Plan will be refreshed in 2026 to evaluate for projected enrollment growth.
Charlotte Campus – Howard R. Levine Center for Education

In preparation for the relocation of the School of Business and the School of Professional Studies, construction is underway on the tenth floor of the Howard R. Levine Center for Education in The Pearl. The Space Strategies group is facilitating the programming of the space and coordinating transition from the Charlotte Center to the new Charlotte Campus. Construction is scheduled to complete in April 2026, with staff slated to be in place in May 2026.

Village Road & Parking Improvements (Real Estate)

Real Estate and Projects teamed up to overhaul a high-traffic section of road in Reynolda Village. Previously, the narrow, eroding roadway posed safety risks for pedestrians and frequent tire damage for drivers. The newly completed project features a significantly wider road with curbing and gutters, ensuring a safer, smoother experience for users. And what was once a deteriorating stretch of asphalt is now a polished, well-defined corridor that significantly enhances the visual character of the village.

511 Deacon (new office building at The Grounds)

The new five-story office building is envisioned as a key component of the100-acre mixed use development in the Deacon Boulevard area. With 130,000 square feet of Class A office space, the building seamlessly integrates into the fabric of its surroundings, while establishing a strong architectural dialogue with the adjacent Allegacy Stadium at Wake Forest University. A key aspect of this integration is its relationship to the Deacon Walk, a pedestrian-only street connecting the Grounds retail village to the stadium. This office building will be the new home for the University Advancement; University Marketing and Communications; Information Systems; Legal, Audit and Compliance; Human Resources; and Finance and Administration departments.

Bicentennial Comprehensive Campus Space Plan (BCCSP)

The BCCSP is a visionary, actionable framework that guides campus development across all campuses over the coming decade. The BCCSP process had its first workshop in February 2025, kicking off the “Discovery and Analysis” phase of the plan. Four workshops total were held in 2025, with 2,201 total engagement touchpoints (817 of which were with students), 76 Meetings/Listening Sessions, 8 Tableing sessions, and 33 SWOT analyses.
Historic Reynolda Future Use Plan

The Historic Reynolda Future Use Plan guides the next 20 years at Reynolda as a whole, encompassing Reynolda Village, Reynolda Gardens, Reynolda House, Graylyn Estate, and Wake Forest University. This plan responds to changing patterns of use and public engagement and considers where thoughtful change can occur. The plan addresses circulation, access, landscape character, and relationships between Reynolda’s components.
New Student and Dining Center Programming

The planning team and Ayers Saint Gross worked to identify and define specific Campus Life and Dining needs to enhance student experience. These needs were prioritized to determine which spaces should be considered for a new student and dining center. The programming considered benchmarks from universities with comparable spaces and provided square-foot estimates for use by designers and architects during the design process.
