ABOUT SMITHGROUP
SmithGroup’s Campus Strategy & Analytics team (formerly Paulien & Associates) has focused on academic and facilities-related studies for higher education for more than 40 years. Planning and programming projects have included more than 700 campuses across the United States and internationally, including more than 230 community and technical college campuses.
They bring an understanding of educational institutions’ diversity of missions, a national perspective on current issues, and the latest evidence-based models being implemented in higher education institutions. They have assisted institutions and governing boards in developing educational master plans based on current and future economic and workforce needs, as well as addressing their space efficiency, programming, and planning issues.
SmithGroup has a strong tradition of using peer comparisons and benchmarking studies to confirm outcomes. Their analyses utilize specialized software to provide objective, data-driven results in conjunction with unique technical program taxonomies to visualize and pinpoint desired outcomes. These outcomes inform institutional leadership as they guide the fulfillment of academic goals.
