In-House Construction


Reynolda Gardens Planter Boxes

A collaborative effort between Reynolda Gardens and the WFU Facilities in-house construction team resulted in the creation and installation of new garden planter boxes. With support from the Space Planning team for planning and measurements, the in-house construction team built and installed the planters, fulfilling Reynolda Gardens’ need for updated garden arrangements.

Colonnade Railing Replacement

The time had come to replace the railings on the colonnade that had lasted since 1951. The railings were replaced using a composite material designed for an extended lifespan. In addition to enhancing the integrity of the structure, the in-house construction team was able to preserve the detailed craftsmanship of the original design.

Hearn Plaza Brick Maintenance

The in-house construction team maintains the pristine appearance of Hearn Plaza through meticulous brick replacement. This ongoing, behind-the-scenes effort ensures that damaged or misplaced bricks are addressed, upholding the plaza’s aesthetic appeal and contributing to the overall campus standard. The Young Family Quad Enhancement Fund was established to support ongoing hardscape maintenance on Hearn Plaza keeping it beautiful for future generations of Demon Deacons.
