Hearn Plaza Resodding After Commencement
Commencement takes place on Hearn Plaza each year. The large stage and other activities takes a toll on the grass causing it to die. Once the ceremony concludes and the stage is removed, the landscaping team steps in, restoring the plaza’s iconic green by resodding the affected areas.
Spry Stadium Game Field Resodding
Spry Soccer Stadium underwent a significant field renovation to enhance the playing experience. The project included the replacement of 90,000 square feet of natural sod, along with laser regrading and leveling of the field. Drainage improvements, a new irrigation pump, and a fertilization/herbicide program were also implemented. Additional enhancements include new goal netting, ACC Network conduit and power upgrades, a filming platform, and the installation of approximately 10,000 square feet of synthetic turf on the players’ bench side to address persistent wear and shade issues.
