Road Closure – Wake Forest Road at the intersection of the Scales service drive and Lower Davis Field

Due to stormwater work with large equipment, Wake Forest Road at the intersection of the Scales service drive and Lower Davis Field will be completely closed to all campus thru traffic for one week beginning Monday, June 13th. Campus traffic from Reynolda Road will be detoured onto Allen Easley St from 6/13 – 6/17. Due to the narrowness of Allen Easley St, drivers are strongly encouraged to avoid the area when possible and utilize Polo Road and University Pkwy entrances during the closure.

The exception will be for Faculty Drive residents, who will be allowed to travel past the Allen Easley detour and will be rerouted around the construction via single-lane gravel pass-through in Lot S. Drivers will be directed via signage and fencing. Pedestrians will also be rerouted around the construction zone via sidewalk detours.

The intersection is expected to open back up to single-lane traffic by Friday, 6/17.
