Turf

The Turf Crew maintains the campus lawns. Their primary responsibilities include, mowing and trimming, lawn fertilization and renovation, leaf removal, and irrigation maintenance. They also assist with setups for special events like Project Pumpkin and Commencement.

Several best management practices such as annual aeration and seeding and seasonal fertilizer applications of slow release nitrogen help keep the campus lawns beautiful. Biochar and other organic soil amendments are used to improve soil biology and reduce fertilizer use.
