E-waste bins are repurposed filing cabinets from campus! Feel good recycling your electronic waste when you drop it off in our repurposed E-waste bins!
Bin Locations:
- Greene – 3rd floor, right coming off elevator
- Zsr – Directly across from circulation desk
- Benson – 2nd floor outside of food court. Turn left at the bottom of the stairs
- Reynolda – 1st floor outside of the Green Room
- Farrell – Basement level in cutout beside sweet A08
- UCC. Go through the Northside set of doors, turn right coming out of the elevator lobby. It’s in a work area directly across from the kitchen. It’s got a large open area before the workstations and is on the left side of that space.
- Wakerspace
If faculty, staff, or students have trouble locating or accessing an e-waste recycling bin, they can contact TJ Ezell (ezelltj@wfu.edu) to arrange pick up. We will pick up any device with a battery or electric cord.
What can you drop in the bins?
These bins are for non-functioning, broken items. If you no longer need a working item, submit a work order for a free Surplus pickup

Xerox and Network printer cartridges must be put in Reynolda Hall 101
E-waste bins are only for student’s personal printer ink cartridge disposal.
What is not accepted:
- WFU owned devices that contain WFU data. All computers and assets should be returned to IS at end of life, or staff transition.
- Non-rechargeable, standard alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, C, D) are not hazardous, and can be placed in regular trash
- CRT Monitors and TV’s, place a work order for pickup to be disposed of properly

Work Order Requests are processed Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
