The Locksmith is responsible for providing expertise and assistance to our broader campus for the following services:

  • Maintain and service all doors, hardware, and locks on a routine basis
  • Provide new and replacement keys and re-cores as needed with the proper departmental approval
  • Support the Deacon One Card (DOC) with maintenance of the electronic card access control systems hardware
  • Support Project Management in key/core management and design for new and major renovation projects

All requests for service in these areas should be submitted through our Key Request Form or Customer Service Center at 336.758.4255 or submit your Service Request online.

Lockshop Coordinator and Proxy Verification

All departments are requested to designate a departmental coordinator and keep updated proxy information per our policy document.  See the Lock and Key Management Policy. This will be used to update our database and to allow for direct communication with the coordinator. The key proxy form linked here can be used to facilitate this.

Lockshop Inventory

All departments are asked to assist with the maintenance of a key inventory within their departments.  You can use the link to open an inventory form or submit your own format as long as the data is inclusive. A sample Key Inventory Form  is provided here.
